Woman Comes Face To Face With Employee In Locker Room While Completely Naked

Whether we love Peloton workouts or IRL classes (although we’ll never lift as much weight as The Rock…), we know that getting some exercise is a good idea. If you’re a regular at your local gym, you expect the gym to be private and respected. Unfortunately, the gym can also be a nightmare.

Tick Tock User @theunapologetictiff recently shared that she works out at Planet Fitness three days a week. But one day, she was in the locker room without her top on and, as she explained, “I look over and a man who works at this fucking gym comes out of the women’s room.” What?!

She said she felt “violated,” which we totally get because it was incredibly uncool and inappropriate. It gets even more disturbing: when she spoke to the front desk staff, they said the man spoke to her “calmly” and treated the situation as if nothing had actually happened. The reason he was in the locker room? The gym doesn’t have single-use toilets for men. It seems like a given that if you’re changing at the gym, you just assume that other people working out are going to be in the locker room…

Tiff correctly pointed out that Planet Fitness allows teens to join for free during the summer months, meaning a high school-aged girl could have been changing in the locker room when a male employee walked in.

Some people shared in the comments section that they had experienced a similar situation and stopped working out at Planet Fitness.

Tiff later shared an update, saying that when she spoke to management, they told her she shouldn’t post what happened online and that she needed to “calm down.” She said, “I don’t like Planet Fitness’ attitude of telling me to calm down and shut up about this.” We’re angry for her because everyone deserves to be heard.

The regional manager said Tiff would get a free three-month membership and that the employee who did this was “remorseful” and that there would be “training” to prevent this from happening again. Judging by the comments, many people feel that this is not enough, and it’s a shame to hear this since locker rooms should be safe spaces for everyone.

Planet Fitness has been in the news recently because all Classic Card members now have to pay $15 per month instead of $10. According to USA Today, the membership fee has been the same from 1998 to today. And after hearing this story, you might think twice about changing in a locker room at this facility.
