An anti-Israel protester arrested at the University of Florida on April 29 has been offered a plea deal to settle her criminal case.

Allison Marie Rooney, 23, was one of nine protesters arrested for attempting to set up an anti-Israel encampment at the University of Florida, according to WUF.

Rooney, nicknamed “Jinx,” was charged with wearing a hood or mask in public, failing to obey police or firefighters and resisting without violence.

While most of the other eight protesters are University of Florida students, Rooney told a judge she works at Target during a hearing Tuesday.

The State Attorney’s Office for the Eighth Judicial Circuit offered Rooney a deferred prosecution agreement, which would settle the criminal case and avoid it going to trial if the defendant agrees to comply with certain requirements or conditions.

A public defender representing Rooney asked for more time to review the offer and prepare, which Judge Kristine Van Vorst granted.
