Meet BroTatoe…Our Pet of the Week at the Tri-Cities Animal Shelter

Our Tri-Cities Animal Shelter Pet of the Week is a 1-year-old Border Collie mix who is as laid-back as his name implies. BroTatoe still has his puppy energy from being young, but he also knows when it’s time to relax and play it cool.

Look at that happy smile, a smile that could greet you every day if yours became BroTatoe’s forever home. His smile is always front and center despite the circumstances that brought him to the shelter. BroTatoe was found and rescued by one of Pasco’s animal control officers who was abandoned while tied to a backhoe.

Since arriving at the shelter on June 27, 2024, he has won over staff and volunteers with his irresistible charm and affectionate nature. BroTatoe walks well on a leash, knows basic commands, and is eager to make new furry friends. His friendly nature extends to his kennel manners, where he patiently awaits visits from potential adopters.

This handsome dog embodies the classic Border Collie traits: intelligence, boundless energy, and loyal demeanor. Border Collies are renowned for their intelligence and thrive in environments where they are mentally and physically stimulated.

BroTatoe will thrive on activities that stimulate his mind and keep him active. His wonderfully silly smile and affectionate personality make him a perfect addition to any loving home. He’s a pup who just wants to find and love his human.

So how can I meet BroTatoe if I’m considering adopting him?

TCAS is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10am to 5pm and no appointment is necessary to meet our animals. Come meet BroTatoe and experience for yourself the joy he can bring to a forever family. BroTatoe’s adoption fee is $50, which includes microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, and spaying/neutering. For those interested in adopting who currently have other dogs in the home, we require meet-and-greets to ensure compatibility.
