Fredrik Eklund’s Connecticut Home Has the Most ‘Zen’ Room (PHOTOS)

Being a top real estate agent like Million Dollar Announcement new YorkFredrik Eklund can be a bit exhausting.

But when Fredrik (now living in Miami) needs to escape, he can escape to his quiet Connecticut home. Life can be tough between juggling high-profile real estate deals and raising twins Milla and Freddy with husband Derek Kaplan, so you don’t blame him for needing an escape. When Fredrik’s family needs an escape, they have their home in rural Connecticut, which features the greenest grass, gorgeous marble countertops, and even a room that reminds him of his childhood.

The real estate agent shared photos of the inside of his home, which is just as cozy as the outside. Fredrik gave his followers a glimpse of his kitchen, living room with a stunning fireplace, super cozy bedroom, and sauna, which offers a view of the outdoors.

“The view from the glass sauna I built is inspired by my childhood in Sweden…” Fredrik wrote on the photo of the view. “The most zen place in my world is where I sit to sweat and meditate.”

When Fredrik took to his Instagram Story earlier this week, he shared a few new looks at the exterior of the home, including a photo of the pale brick colonial-style mansion. In the photos, Milla can be seen standing outside on the grass, looking at the pond on the grounds, while Fredrik snapped a snapshot of their stunning hedges surrounded by overflowing planters.

“Home is where the heart is,” he wrote on the exterior photo, in addition to congratulating their “new gardener Adam” on the hedge photo.

Meditation could be in order, as things have gotten a little chaotic for Fredrik and Derek. In an Instagram post shared on Father’s Day, Fredrik updated his followers on everything going on in his kids’ lives as they enter first grade next school year in Florida.

“I’m so proud of them, if you haven’t noticed already… Freddy is going to chess camp soon and Milla loves to paint and draw and spend hours in the studio with Big D,” he wrote in the caption of the post. “She’s really good with colors, very Monet. They have so many new friends in Miami and I can’t keep up with their social life and all their playdates.”
