BATON ROUGE, Louisiana. – The LSU swimming and diving team has released its 2024-25 schedule consisting of three home meets, five away meets and two invitational meets, LSU athletes and head coach Rick Bishop announced Friday.

The Tigers open the season as usual with the annual Purple and Gold Intrasquad on Saturday, Sept. 14. LSU faces its first outdoor competition in early October, hosting the University of Texas at the LSU Natatorium on Oct. 11.

After its first dual-conference matchup with the Longhorns, LSU travels to Annapolis, Maryland, to compete at Lejeune Hall on the Naval Academy campus on October 18. The scheduled meet will take place during fall break, allowing the team to spend time bonding. The meet features two other teams: Loyola (Maryland) and George Mason.

Before participating in the Midseason Invitational Tournaments, the Tigers play two games: the first at the University of Houston on Nov. 2, which features additional teams from Tulane and Rice and includes only the women’s team. LSU then travels to Tuscaloosa on Nov. 8 to face Alabama and Florida State in a three-team game.

At midseason, the Tigers will compete at the Gabrielsen Natatorium in the Georgia Invitational. The meet will begin on November 20 and conclude on November 22. After completing the midseason meet, the Tigers divers will return to Athens to compete in the Georgia Diving Invitational from January 3-5.

The Tigers will compete in their third straight meet at Georgia’s facilities as LSU returns to Gabrielsen Natatorium for a conference dual meet on Jan. 11.

The Tigers hit the road for the second straight week, taking on Texas A&M on Jan. 18 at Bryan-College Station at the Rec Center Natatorium. A week later, LSU returns home on Jan. 25 against Cincinnati and Delta State for the final game of the regular season, with the senior class recognized.

The swimming and diving team will next travel to Georgia to compete for the SEC crown at the 2025 SEC Championships. The Tigers have enjoyed great success under Bishop and are looking to achieve more this season. LSU’s women’s swimming and diving team finished eighth at the 2024 SEC Championships, while the men placed sixth. The 2025 conference meet will be held Feb. 17-22.

After the conference-level clashes, the race for the NCAA title begins with the NCAA Zone D Diving Regional Competition, which will be held on the campus of the University of Iowa. The regional competition is scheduled to begin on March 10 and conclude on March 12.

LSU swimmers who qualified throughout the season and divers who qualified at regionals will continue to compete at their respective NCAA championship meets. The women’s national meet begins March 19 and runs through March 22, followed by the men’s NCAA meet the following week, March 26-29. Both meets are being held in Federal Way, Wash., at the Weyerhaeuser King County Aquatics Center.
