Bryan Abasolo Shares Texts Showing Rachel Lindsay Wasn’t ‘Shocked’ By Divorce Filing

Bryan Abasolo provided evidence in response to Rachel Lindsay’s recent court filing.

According to court documents obtained by PeopleThe 44-year-old chiropractor has denied claims that his ex-wife, 39, was “surprised or shocked” by his decision to file for divorce after four years of marriage.

He added: “I’m sorry I didn’t respond to your message, but honestly, I don’t really want to take your criticism anymore. I don’t want to stay here longer than necessary. I want to regain some self-respect.”

“Please, let’s keep future communications in writing (on paper, by email, by text message) to avoid any additional friction when we move to the next step,” he concluded. “We can talk in the future with a neutral party or otherwise. Right now, I just can’t do that. I haven’t been able to do that in a while. Respectfully. Good night.”

In a since-deleted Instagram post, Abasolo announced that he and Lindsay were splitting shortly after filing for divorce on January 2.

“After over 4 years of marriage, Rachel and I have made the difficult decision to separate and start anew,” he wrote at the time. “My parents have been married forever and I am a family man, but sometimes loving yourself and your partner means letting go. I wanted you to hear it from the source before the blogs started creating their own reality.”

“Please respect the space of our family and friends as we consider what happens next,” he concluded. “Respectfully, Bryan.”

Abasolo met and got engaged to Lindsay during his season of The Bachelorette in 2017. Two years later, the couple married in August 2019. They have no children.
