Did something terrible happen in that laundry room?

Did something terrible happen in that laundry room?

When you buy a new home, you expect it to be in good condition and have as few problems as possible. But that’s not always the case. A woman has gone viral by revealing a shocking discovery in her laundry room and under the floorboards in a video that has been viewed 16.3 million times.

“We just bought a house and I think someone got murdered inside,” Audrey (@chickennuggetlife8806) shared. “Because tonight we had a leak in our laundry room.” She and her husband subsequently had to rip out the flooring. After removing the flooring, the content creator was horrified by what she saw.

Then, she turned her camera around to reveal dark red streaks and footprints covering the floor. “What is this?” Audrey asked. “I’m freaking out.” This scared her, not knowing what these strange stains were. “Please tell me I’m exaggerating and that it’s paint, even though I’m pretty sure it’s not paint.” However, the situation only got worse. Audrey revealed the substance that had spilled under the floor. “Paint doesn’t go through tiles like that. So send help,” she concluded.

Like Audrey, viewers were terrified.

“This is much worse than I thought,” wrote one viewer.

“Usually when I watch these videos I’m like, no, those are clearly just water stains etc, but THIS ONE looks like a crime scene,” commented a second.

Others also urged her to contact the police.

“Call the police and tag me in the update,” one viewer said.

“I’ll call the police as soon as possible,” a second repeated.

“As a first responder, call 911 (non-emergency) and call a police officer, please!!!,” urged a third.

Did she understand what the stain was?

In an interview with The Daily Dot, Audrey shared how she and her husband made the discovery.

“My husband turned off the main shutoff valve to replace a washing machine hose. While he was at the store buying a new hose, I happened to go upstairs and noticed water leaking down the wall. Unbeknownst to us, the main shutoff valve wasn’t working properly, which caused a small leak,” she shared via direct message on Instagram.

As the leak spread all over the floor, they had to rip out the flooring before it could cause any more damage. When she pulled the floorboards out, she was horrified by the discovery. “When I went around the corner and saw the floor underneath him as he was ripping out the laminate flooring, I was in shock at what I was seeing.”

However, the content creator said she called the police and determined that it was not human blood. “The police only ran tests to determine if it was human blood, they also took pictures of several people, but they didn’t run any other tests to determine what it was. And I’m not sure what it is.”

Furthermore, Audrey and her husband have not made any other strange discoveries. The only strange encounter is a gas leak. Despite everything, she is still adamant about not moving.
