Subject: “Fireworks replaced by live musical grand finale at Steveston Salmon Festival”

I am writing to express my disappointment at the cancellation of this year’s fireworks in Steveston. We were delighted with last year’s fireworks and had a fun night, only to find out that this year’s show would be cancelled. What a total disappointment.

I feel like the “too dry conditions” is an excuse for the city to cancel the event. If we can camp and are currently allowed to have a fire, that excuse seems unreasonable. Many other municipalities are moving forward with their events, which makes Richmond’s cancellation unreasonable as well.

I guess you can add Richmond to the list of “unfun cities.”
