Chris Avila Has Stern Message For Haters After Win Over Anthony Pettis: ‘I’m A Real Boxer’

Chris Avila Sends Message to His Critics

Chris Avila spoke to reporters after his win over Anthony Pettis and made it clear that he doesn’t like online trolls who send him negative comments on social media (via MMAJunkie.com).

“I’m a real fighter, and a lot of people don’t know that,” Avila told MMA Junkie and other reporters at a post-fight press conference. “All these haters that hate me and say a bunch of bad things in the comments and online can suck my dick.”

Beating a name like Pettis can not only bring more viewers to your fights, but it can also boost your credibility given the pedigree of “Showtime.” Avila feels he accomplished exactly what he set out to do.

“It’s cool to get the win,” Avila said. “(Pettis) just got a win over Roy Jones Jr., even though he’s 55 years old. But he’s still Roy Jones Jr. He won, or was it a draw against Mike Tyson? Either way, I feel like I got the win (and) got some titles tonight. It was good.”

Avila also told reporters that he is sticking to boxing for now. He added that he wants big names to win fights in the future. The win over Pettis could get him there.
