The Brooklyn Nets recently shocked many in the NBA world by trading Mikal Bridges to the New York Knicks in exchange for three players and a slew of first-round draft picks. While many wonder if the Knicks overpaid for Bridges, he took the time to say goodbye to the team that traded him as part of the Kevin Durant trade to the Phoenix Suns.

Bridges posted a farewell message to the Nets and their fans on Instagram on Sunday and shared several photos from his time with the team. Bridges shared 10 photos that show him with virtually every player he’s come into contact with since joining the Nets for the 2022-23 campaign.

“Where do I start? Brooklyn, man, I appreciate you so much. I will never forget the love and support you showed me when I first got traded here,” Bridges wrote on his Instagram account. “I didn’t expect everyone to accept me.”

Bridges was a player that was supposed to be untouchable and that the Nets wanted to keep around when they were able to acquire a star. However, it seems Brooklyn had a change of heart when the Knicks made them an offer they simply couldn’t refuse.
