Hollyoaks’ Peri Lomax caught red-handed over Romeo prison plot

Hollyoaks spoilers follow Wednesday’s episode on Channel 4 streaming, which won’t air on E4 until Thursday.

Hollyoaks’ Peri Lomax has been caught red-handed plotting to help free Romeo Nightingale from prison.

Romeo is currently serving time in prison after confessing to accidentally killing his ex-girlfriend Rayne Royce. He was recently forced to share a cell with Kane, a drug dealer who his father James wrongly blamed for Ella Richardson’s death.

As Romeo learned, Kane is well aware of the situation and has begun issuing death threats.

On tonight’s (February 21) finale, James spoke to Romeo on the phone, who asked him to smuggle a disposable phone for Kane.

James declined the request, saying he knew Kane’s type and that it would start with a phone and then move on to drugs, guns – or worse.

Kane then jumped on the call and reiterated his threats, and although James tried to silence the dealer by making his own threats about Kane’s daughter, he was clearly worried. Which Peri heard.

After speaking to James, Peri hatched a plan to smuggle a disposable phone into the prison by hiding it on her daughter Steph.

She managed to get the phone across, but when she handed it to Romeo, it started ringing and she was taken away for questioning.

Elsewhere in the episode, Charlie Dean returns from London and promises to clear Jack Osborne’s name, while Dilly Harcourt appears to have left the village, but secretly makes a return.

Hollyoaks oaks first released online via Channel 4 every weekday at 7:30pm. Episodes then air on E4 the following day, before premiering on YouTube a week later.
