Hitachi Energy Announces Changes to Board of Directors

Hitachi Energy announced the appointment of Lorena Dellagiovanna, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Chief Sustainability Officer, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer (CDEIO) at Hitachi, Ltd., as a Director of the Hitachi Energy Board of Directors.

Lorena brings extensive experience in valuing diversity as a driver of sustainable long-term business growth. Recently appointed as Chief Human Resources Officer of Hitachi, Ltd., she focuses on building a diverse talent pool that contributes to innovation and creative problem-solving. Diversity is a business imperative that Hitachi has placed at the heart of its corporate strategy.

With this appointment, Hitachi Energy’s board of directors will continue to consist of a total of seven members, including Alistair Dormer, Chairman; Frank Duggan, Vice Chairman; Akihide Hirao, Director; Lorena Dellagiovanna, Director; Manuel Valverde, Director, Seiichiro Nukui, Director; and Shashank Samant, Director.

Brice Koch, Executive Vice President and General Manager, Chief Strategy Officer, Chief Risk Officer and Chairman of the Board of Hitachi Europe Ltd. and Stephen Pierce, Advisor to the Chairman of Hitachi Europe Ltd, have left the Board of Hitachi Energy and will continue in their respective roles within the Hitachi Group.
