Jamestown Police Arrest Three During Drug Traffic Stop

(WJET/WFXP) – Jamestown police conducted a traffic stop Saturday night for suspected drug paraphernalia.

Members of the Jamestown Police Department stopped a vehicle on West 6th Street in Jamestown, New York, near Murray Avenue, Saturday around 9:20 p.m. for allegedly observing drug paraphernalia.


There were three people inside the vehicle, a 39-year-old woman from Jamestown, a 28-year-old woman from Jamestown and a 43-year-old man from Rochester.

Officers searched the vehicle and found a quantity of methamphetamine and packaging material.

The occupants were all taken into custody and searched individually.

The 29-year-old woman had individually wrapped fentanyl on her person and the 43-year-old man had $2,000 in cash, a large quantity of cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl and amphetamine pills.

The 39-year-old woman was charged with three counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and fifth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

The 29-year-old woman was charged with one count each of criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third, fourth and seventh degrees.

The 43-year-old man was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.

All three are being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
