BECKER, Minnesota — An attempted traffic stop on a stolen pickup truck led to a four-car crash that injured three people, one seriously, in Sherburne County.

The Minnesota State Patrol said that around 6 p.m. on Saturday, July 6, the Sherburne County Sheriff’s Office was attempting to stop a pickup truck that had recently been reported stolen in the city of St. Cloud.

The driver, Bradley Alfred, 21, of Montrose, failed to stop for deputies and drove them to the town of Becker.

Police say it was in Becker that Alfred drove toward the intersection of Highway 10 from Liberty Lane and hit a car heading east and another heading west.

From there, Alfred left the road and ended up in the Speedway parking lot where he hit an SUV.

The driver of the eastbound car, Christopher Vyskocil, 36, of Becker, is currently in the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Alfred and the driver of the car travelling westbound were slightly injured.

The accident is under investigation.
