Bologna awaits new Arsenal offer for Riccardo Calafiori

Serie A side Bologna are now awaiting Arsenal’s new offer for defender Riccardo Calafiori as they look to sell the Italy star this summer.

Arsenal are close to signing the defender, but it appears there are still some steps to take to complete the transfer. The Carlino Restaurant reported (via TuttoBologna) that Arsenal’s previous offer was around €40m and was lower than Bologna’s valuation.

This is not a satisfactory offer and the Rossoblu want to make sure that the next offer from the Gunners is €50 million, as they want that amount to sell Calafiori, as they would pocket €30 million from the sale of the former Roma player, as Basel will also receive a significant income. Calafiori already has an agreement on personal terms and has given his consent for the transfer, but an agreement on the amount has not yet been reached.

Vincenzo Montella’s side are already looking for potential replacements and appear determined to sell the Azzurri star.
