Shocking footage has captured the incredible moment a woman smashed a car’s windscreen during a violent road rage incident.

New Zealander Chantelle Baker was driving behind a blue Mazda Demio in Rangiora, near Christchurch, on Saturday when the incident happened.

Suddenly, two women jumped out of the Mazda and ran toward Ms. Baker’s car.

The windshield was shattered when one of the women jumped on the hood and stomped on it.

The woman then jumped out of the car, opened the driver’s side door and shouted “Fuck you.”

Ms Baker quickly put the car in reverse and sped away from the scene as the women ran back to their own cars.

Ms Baker said the road rage incident began after the driver of the Mazda nearly caused a crash on a junction.

“They followed me closely as I slowed to 40km/h after seeing them almost crash behind me,” Ms Barker said.

Ms Barker claimed they threw stones at her car, which hit a window where her eight-month-old baby was sleeping.

“I then found them and tried to take a picture of their license plate and as soon as they saw me pull over they ran towards me, jumping on the windshield and sending glass all over the car and opening my car doors trying to grab me,” she said.

Ms Baker explained that the vehicle she was driving was a “borrowed car” and she now had to pay to replace the damaged windscreen.

Police confirmed they had received a report of the incident.

“A driver apparently followed another driver after a car failed to merge properly,” police told the NZ Herald.

“The cars stopped at a gas station where one person reportedly got out and jumped on the other person’s vehicle, breaking a window,”

Police said the investigation was in its “early stages” and no one was injured in the incident.

Ms Baker is the daughter of former New Conservative leader Leighton Baker and is a well-known anti-vaccine influencer.

In 2022, Baker’s Facebook page was disabled by Meta after she shared “misleading and harmful information” about the vaccine.

A report by independent research group The Disinformation Project found that Ms Baker’s live broadcasts had higher engagement than mainstream media, despite spreading false claims.
