Iconic Manchester fashion brand makes a 2000s-inspired comeback with new revival collection

Iconic Manchester-based fashion brand Bench is set to take centre stage again with its 2000s-inspired ‘Revival’ collection.

Following the success of its women’s collection with Urban Outfitters earlier this year, Bench is set to continue the momentum with a new collection, launching on the night the brand celebrates its 35th anniversary.

Blending 2000s nostalgia with on-trend silhouettes, Bench’s “Revival” collection features everything from tank tops, boob tubes, cargos and denim mini skirts, and will officially launch online on Friday, July 5, 2024.

Adored by celebrities like Lady Gaga, Fergie, and even Lisa Rinna (the darling of Beverly Hills chic!), Bench emerged as a pop culture phenomenon in the 2000s. The brand created 2000s staples including the iconic thumbhole hoodie and the beloved BBQ jacket.

In light of a huge Y2K resurgence this year and a fantastic reception to their Urban Outfitters line, Bench’s revival line celebrates all things “2000s,” from jorts to tank tops.

Speaking ahead of the collection’s launch, Natalie Williams, Head of Brand Marketing at Bench, comments:

“The Bench Revival Collection is a celebration of where we started and where we are today 35 years later. The Y2K aesthetic is back like never before and has given us the perfect opportunity to breathe new life into some of our classics.”

“We wanted the collection to include wardrobe staples with an edgy twist. The silhouettes are familiar from the 2000s, but are a more modern take on classics, combining 2024 and 2004.”

“Not only are we looking to attract a new audience to the brand, but we’re taking everyone back to that era with our Revival collection – it’s Y2K but feels enhanced and updated with a modern twist.”

“As a Manchester brand, it’s important that we launch our latest collection at our 35th anniversary event, taking place in the Northern Quarter on 4th July, alongside Manchester’s creatives.”
