He is the only dancer to have a speaking line on Taylor Swift’s Eras tour

Saunders’ moment of fame is particularly notable during Swift’s Eras tour, as he is the only dancer to have a speaking part. Although his “like ever” line during “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” is brief, it — and he — have become a fixture of the show that fans have been eagerly anticipating.

“I’ve lived here on and off for the past four years, my brother played for the Chiefs (2019-2023), and I’ve been to games at this stadium more times than I can count to support my brother, but I’ve never been on the field… It’s all come full circle!” he wrote.

He loved Travis Kelce’s Eras Tour debut

As reported by NBC News, Swift wowed fans at Wembley Stadium in London when she brought her boy friend Kelce on stage in a tuxedo for his London show.

Saunders quickly shared his excitement over the now-viral moment with an Instagram post: “I know I’m posting pictures that everyone has already seen at this point, but whatever. I wanted to showcase this London moment! Trav… I had the time of my life being a total HAM with you on stage.”

January 25th has been declared Kameron Saunders Dance Day in Kansas City

Earlier this year, Saunders received a special honor for her significant impact on the performing arts in Kansas City, and January 25 “will forever be known as ‘Kameron Saunders Dance Day’ in Kansas City,” Saunders shared on Instagram.

In a 2022 interview with VoyageKC, Saunders recalled the pressure he was put under by dance instructors to lose weight, which led to self-doubt. In a conversation with The Power Of the Performing Arts, he spoke further: “For the longest time, my struggle was my weight… Until recently, I didn’t realize how much space weight was taking up in my mind, and I’m in the process of undoing those traumas. It’s pushed me toward success because I love proving people wrong.”

Saunders continues to challenge the rigid norms of his industry “to remove the pain I personally feel toward them so that I can further advance this art.”
