Treasury Secretary tells Tories: 'The adults are back in the room'

Treasury Secretary Darren Jones criticised the Tories in a live television interview.

Appearing on BBC Breakfast On Monday (July 8), Mr Jones discussed Labour’s plan for economic growth, before taking aim at former Tory ministers.

He said: “What you will see from this Labour government is that we will return, both to service for the British people, but also to standards, the adults are back in the room.

“The announcements we make will be made in Parliament. They will follow the appropriate procedures within Parliament. We are prepared for them to be challenged and scrutinised by colleagues from different parties.”
