4 Indians arrested for shocking crime

The U.S. State Department estimates that between 15,000 and 18,500 people are trafficked into the United States each year for forced labor or servitude, highlighting the alarming growth of the problem.

Recently, a disturbing discovery took place when four individuals of Telugu origin were arrested for human and labour trafficking.

On March 13, 2024, Princeton police officers responded to a welfare issue at a residence on Ginsburg Lane in Princeton, Texas, leading to a shocking revelation.

Princeton police detectives executed a search warrant at the home of Santhosh Katkoori, discovering 15 adult women who were being exploited for labor by Santhosh and his wife, Dwaraka Gunda, through various shell companies they controlled, spread across multiple locations in Princeton, Melissa and McKinney.

During the search, officers seized several laptops, cell phones, printers and fraudulent documents.

Further investigations revealed the involvement of adult men in similar forced labour activities, leading to additional searches at different locations where more electronic devices and documents were confiscated.

Arrest warrants have been issued for the following individuals on charges of human and labor rights violations, a second-degree felony:

– Chandan Dasireddy, 24, from Melissa, Texas
– Dwaraka Gunda, 31, from Melissa, Texas
– Santhosh Katkoori, 31, from Melissa, Texas
– Anil Male, 37, of Prosper, Texas
