Susan Noles on Bradley Cooper's Love: 'I Was Shocked'

Recently, two big Hollywood stars, Bradley Cooper and Eddie Murphy, have admitted to being fans of reality TV. Specifically, they are both obsessed with The Golden Bachelor.

Last month, Murphy made headlines when he expressed disappointment that Gerry Turner and Theresa Nist filed for divorce just three months after their wedding.

“I watched that shit,” the Beverly Hills Cop star said. “I thought, ‘This is so good, they found love in the second half of their lives. This is a great show. Bravo!’ Then I found out these motherfuckers broke up three months later. Same old shit.” Admit it, you read it in Eddie Murphy’s voice, “Heh-heh-heh.”

Emerging stars discuss fan reactions

Recently, two of The Golden Bachelor stars spoke to Us Weekly about fan reaction to the show. Kathy Swarts and Susan Noleswho officiated Gerry and Theresa’s wedding, are adamant that the show’s message of love and hope still holds, despite the separation.

“This show is about love,” Kathy said. “It’s about adventure, but it’s also about finding love. I wish I had found love, (and) I know Susan would have loved to find love… (Overall) it’s about finding love.”

Susan couldn’t help but bring up her unexpected encounter with Cooper. Can you blame her?

“When Bradley Cooper said to me, ‘I’m your biggest fan, I’m a huge fan. I have so many questions for you,’ I was shocked,” the makeup artist recalls. “I loved every second of that show. So people watch that show… So many young people come up to me. I did a wedding the other day, and I was surrounded by twenty-somethings. They were like, ‘Oh my God, I loved it when you said this or I loved it when you did that. Are you really friends with Kathy?’ Every generation has watched.”

Kathy recalled a similar experience at her son’s wedding, which Susan also officiated. “At the party afterward, all these people came up to us,” Kathy said. “The kids said, ‘You’ve changed our lives. We love your friendship. You’ve given us so much hope.’ To me, that’s the highlight of the show… We give people hope, we give them the opportunity to enjoy life and find love.”
