Bhana’s parole cancelled: Election Commission cancels gangster Daljit Singh Bhana’s parole for Jalandhar (West) by-poll | Chandigarh News

Chandigarh: The Election Commission (EC) on Monday ordered cancellation of gangster Daljit Singh Bhana’s parole till the completion of the by-election process to Jalandhar (West) assembly constituency. The Congress as well as the BJP had filed complaints with the EC seeking cancellation of Bhana’s parole claiming that the gangster was released on parole holding the AAP in violation of the model code of conduct to help them for the July 10 bypoll. The Congress and the BJP had alleged that Bhana had campaigned for the AAP by threatening voters. The Punjab CEO informed the Jalandhar DC about the EC’s directions.
