Who is in The Bachelorette Casting of 2024?

Given the lack of Asian men in Jenn’s Bachelorette casting, many fans suspected that season 21 was originally intended for Maria Georgas, Joey’s fourth-place finisher Bachelor season, or Daisy Kent, the runner-up. In an interview on the podcast “Call Her Daddy” in March 2024, Maria claimed that she was initially offered the role before turning it down. “If I’m going to be in this world, I have to be honest,” she said, “I was offered the role. I mean, it was mine until I said it wasn’t. To the point where I was doing fittings. It was set in stone.”

Jenn, for her part, seemingly denied Maria’s claims in her own interview for “Call Her Daddy” in June 2024, in which she claimed there were “a lot of narratives” that were “not necessarily the truth.” “Every season, there are multiple people in the running for the role,” she said, adding, “It’s never really you until it’s you.”

Jenn also addressed the lack of Asian men in her Bachelorette thrown into an interview with Charm at the time. “I can’t really speak to the casting process and the decisions that were made, but it’s unfortunate that there weren’t a lot of Asian men this season,” she said.

One of the Asian candidates she highlighted was Thomas Nguyen, a 31-year-old retirement advisor from Tucker, Georgia, who is also of Vietnamese descent. “It’s not every day that you get to bond with someone who is an immigrant and connect with someone on that level, because not everyone can understand that,” she said. “It was a really special conversation for me because (Thomas) really understood where I was coming from, and my family means the world to me…being a child of immigrant parents is something that not everyone can understand. And so to have that conversation with Thomas N. really meant the world to me.”

Another notable cast member is Aaron Erb, a 29-year-old aerospace engineer from Tulsa, Oklahoma, sent himself home The Bachelorette Season 21, who is also the twin brother of Bachelor Nation alum Noah Erb, who was a contestant on The Bachelorette Season 16 and Single in Paradise Season 7. Caleb “Moze” Smith, who played for the Iowa Barnstormers in the Indoor Football League, is also part of the cast.
