Santa Fe Opera Announces New Casting Change for ‘Don Giovanni’

The Santa Fe Opera has announced that international soprano and former Santa Fe Opera apprentice singer Rachel Willis-Sørensen will join the cast of “Don Giovanni.”

The soprano will perform the role of Donna Anna in six performances between July 29 and August 23.

Recently, Apprentice singer Rachel Fitzgerald made her Santa Fe Opera debut in the role, with performances on June 29, July 5 and July 10.

Willis-Sørensen has performed internationally at the Metropolitan Opera, the Royal Opera House, the San Francisco Opera, the Bayerische Staatsoper and the Wiener Staatsoper, among others.

Willis-Sørensen is set to join a cast that includes Ryan Speedo Green, Rachael Wilson, David Portillo, Nicholas Newton, Liv Redpath, William Guanbo Su and Salomon Howard.
