And she credited Bachelorette season 18 Michelle Young for offering him some words of wisdom about this business.

“We’re both in the same mindset, we want to keep making a difference,” Jenn recalls. “If we’re the spearheads of this movement, that’s even better. She told me, ‘You know what you’re doing for a reason,’ and you just have to have a strong will and a strong mind.”

Despite the surprises that await her for her season, the physician associate is at peace with it all.

“I think the story unfolded exactly as it was supposed to,” she added. “I’m really happy with how the season turned out.”

The Bachelorette firsts Monday, July 8 at 8:00 PM ET/PT on ABC and is available to stream the next day on Hulu.
