The Opp Project LLC Announces Summer Spotlight Fair

The Opp Project LLC is excited to announce the Summer Spotlight Fair, a citywide event celebrating the impact of summer opportunities for Tulsa’s youth.

Families, youth serving organizations and stakeholders are invited to join us on August 9, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., at the Hardesty National BMX Stadium.

The event will feature a performance by Tulsa’s Hot Toast and complimentary frozen treats from Frios and Andy’s Frozen Custard. Attendees will be able to enjoy the BMX track and participate in activities for a chance to win FC Tulsa tickets or a Ludger’s Bavarian Bakery gift card. Following the event, Lefty’s on Greenwood will offer a 20% discount to customers who present a Summer Spotlight Fair voucher or mention The Opp Project LLC. Additionally, FC Tulsa will host a fundraising event in support of The Opp Project LLC.

“Summer programs are essential to providing youth with meaningful experiences that help prevent educational losses and support working families,” said Lauren Sivak, Executive Director of The Opp Project. “We are excited to showcase the work of our program partners at our inaugural Summer Spotlight Fair.”

The Opp Project LLC is collaborating with Tulsa Public Schools to coordinate the “Ready. Set. Summer!” program, partnering with 30 organizations at 24 sites to serve thousands of youth. Partners include American Song Archives, Camp Fire Green Country, Education for Scholars, Hot Toast Music Company, the Oklahoma Center for Community and Justice, the Tulsa Zoo and the USA BMX Foundation, all of which will be at the fair.
