Knights of Columbus Council 13483, Child Care of Southwest Florida, Announces “FORE” Community Golf Tournament on September 28

The Knights of Columbus (KofC) St. Cecilia Council 13483 has opened registration for its annual “FORE” Community Golf Tournament in North Fort Myers. Proceeds from the event will provide scholarships for local children to participate in Child Care of Southwest Florida’s (CCSWFL) Early Learning Program.

The four-person charity golf tournament includes a breakfast, round of golf, awards luncheon, swag bag, silent auction and raffle. This year’s tournament will be held on Saturday, September 28 at Magnolia Landing Golf & Country Club, a semi-private 18-hole course designed by renowned architect Gordon G. Lewis that winds through natural pine and oak forests.

“We are honored to be the primary beneficiary of this year’s golf tournament, which will raise critical funds for deserving children in their most formative years of development,” said Chris Hansen, CEO of Child Care of Southwest Florida. “We recognize that not all children in Southwest Florida have the same educational opportunities. With 40% of the proceeds going to our learning centers, we can help provide scholarships to working parents who would otherwise be unable to afford a high-quality early childhood education program.”

CCSWFL’s mission is to strengthen and improve the lives of preschool children and their families through quality, affordable early childhood education. As a nonprofit provider with five learning centers in Lee and Hendry counties, Child Care of Southwest Florida partners with local charitable foundations, businesses and organizations to provide high-quality programs at a discounted rate to families who need them most.

The “FORE” Community Golf Tournament is hosted by Knights of Columbus Council 13483 in St. Cecilia, a Catholic fraternal service organization in Fort Myers.

“At the heart of what we do as Knights of Columbus is our commitment to serving those in need,” said Grand Knight Steve Jansen of KofC St. Cecilia Council #13483. “This year, we are proud to extend our support to CCSWFL, which will create opportunities for at-risk children to access high-quality early learning programs. Through events like our charity golf tournament, we are honored to positively impact the lives of these young learners.”

The cost for golf participants is $135 per golfer and includes golf, breakfast, lunch and tournament gifts. Sponsorship opportunities are available, including $125 for a hole sponsor, $600 for an Eagle team sponsor and $1,200 for a presenting sponsor. Sponsorship packages include a golf foursome, meals, event signage and other public recognition.
