Need a lunch plan? Come see our last free summer concerts on July 10th and 17th

If you haven’t yet attended one of our free lunchtime concerts, or have but haven’t yet braved the dance floor, there are two more performances this season. On Wednesday, July 10, Grammy-nominated trumpeter Alphonso Horne and his Gotham Kings will perform on the plaza at 140 Broadway; the following Wednesday, July 17, our concert series will conclude with a bang when Christopher McBride & the Whole Proof rock the house at the WTC’s North Oculus Plaza. Both shows begin at noon and are free.

As a reminder, our six-week free concert series, part of the Alliance’s Art Is All Around campaign, kicked off on June 12, with nationally renowned artists bringing the exhilarating sounds of jazz, blues, salsa, bolero, cha-cha-cha, soul, and pop, as well as exciting tap, swing, and modern jazz dance, to downtown New York City. Curated by acclaimed New York musician and producer Svetlana Shmulyian, the series has been a success, drawing lunchtime crowds and a number of active attendees over the past few weeks. Be sure to check out the final two episodes of the series in the coming weeks, and tag us @downtownnyc on IG when you share your show!
