Twelve tanker trains cancelled due to strike – Breaking News

Colombo, July 11 (Daily Mirror) – Due to the ongoing railway strike, a total of 12 train services with fuel wagons were not operated between Kolonnawa and Katunayake International Airport.

A senior official of the department said that the railway department is suffering a huge loss due to not sending fuel wagons to Kolonnawa and Katunayake International Airport.

Thus, ten fuel wagons with a capacity of 10,000 gallons each are attached to the train to supply fuel to the airport daily, the official added.
