Evil Toothless Dillon Brooks can’t help but hate LeBron or write checks with his mouth that his game can’t cash

Hasn’t everyone had enough? here What about Dillon Brooks now? He was a better-than-expected player for the Houston Rockets last season, but it was in a low-stakes, low-expectation environment as the de facto veteran leader of a very young team. Before that, Brooks decided to badmouth LeBron James in the NBA playoffs, only to back it up on the court with poor play.

Over his last 17 postseason games, Brooks is shooting 33.7 percent from the field and 30.7 percent from three-point range on nearly seven attempts per game. He’s proven to be a toothless villain who can’t get the job done when it matters most. Why would that change on the stage of the Summer Olympics, in an exhibition game between Team Canada and Team USA?

Courtside fans have been known to whip LeBron into a competitive frenzy where he obliterates his competitors. He’s probably not the best guy to fight with. Brooks continues to be so brave and bold in teasing the bear, despite a really embarrassing story with the King.

Then there’s this stark contrast of images that I couldn’t help but share, given that Team USA was practically sleepwalking into its meaningless duel with Canada.

The Americans committed eight turnovers in the first quarter before settling in. Canada actually has a few guys: NBA MVP finalist Shai Gilgeous-Alexander, Denver Nuggets star Jamal Murray and several other solid pros. A pretty decent perimeter/wing rotation. It’s just that they don’t have anyone up front who can even match up against the likes of Joel Embiid, Anthony Davis or even Bam Adebayo, to be honest.

The tight spacing on international-size courts and the absence of three-second infractions make the U.S. team’s defense nearly impenetrable. Only the French team’s tandem Victor Wembanyama and Rudy Gobert puts up such a fortified interior wall.

In other words, why does Brooks insist on engaging in such consistent loser behavior, like walking right in front of Devin Booker’s interview?

What does it look like from down there, Dillon?

Good thing the refs let the guys play on this one too:

One almost wonders sometimes if Brooks does things because he knows he’s trolling. I’m 98% sure he’s not self-aware enough to be in on the joke, because he has mind-blowing delusions of grandeur.

While Lance Stephenson was at least likable enough that LeBron eventually welcomed him as a teammate, there is nothing redeemable about the way Brooks behaves. To quote Bob Barker in Happy Gilmorethis guy sucks.

Now I say that and realize that, hey, Dillon Brooks helped make an Olympic exhibition game more interesting and relevant than it otherwise would have been. So I guess he can keep it up. Whether he gets it or not, we’re laughing. has him no with Him? It seems like a personal problem for him. It seems difficult.
