Chargers reveal new images of their spectacular new training facility

The Los Angeles Chargers opened “The Bolt,” their brand new training facility and headquarters, on Thursday. The Bolt is located in El Segundo, about a 15-minute drive from Inglewood, home of SoFi Stadium.

The three-level Bolt facility is a massive 150,000-square-foot headquarters and includes three turf practice fields.

During the opening of the new facility, the Chargers shared several images of the beautifully renovated Chargers headquarters, showcasing the new team cafeteria, weight room, team meeting room, coaches lounge, locker room, equipment room, recovery center and press conference room.

These spaces appear to represent a significant improvement for the Chargers as an organization and for the players. The quality of the Chargers’ previous facilities was a major reason why the Chargers ranked 30th out of 32 in the 2024 NFL PA Report Cards.

The locker room, food/cafeteria, training room, locker room and weight room all received a D+ or F grade in recent report cards. Space was a major factor in these grades, as many players felt there was not enough room for all of them in the hot/cold tubs, weight room, locker room and cafeteria.

With these improved spaces in the Bolt, the Chargers’ ratings should improve in 2025. The new photos show plenty of seating inside and outside the cafeteria and spacious rooms throughout the rest of the facility.

The facility’s opening comes five days before Chargers rookies report to training camp on July 16, and 12 days before veterans report to camp.
