Rams News: Is the Rams’ defensive line ready to crush the NFL?

Is the young Los Angeles Rams defensive line about to take the NFL by storm? That’s a fun thought for Rams fans. Hello and welcome to Saturday’s edition of Random Ramsdom! Glad to have you here. So what do you think? Do you have faith in this defensive line to hit the jackpot? Give them a year or two to figure it out? Let us know!

Thanks so much for checking out Turf Show Times and feel free to leave a comment! Have a great and safe weekend and remember that in about two months, football will be back, baby!

What the NFL doesn’t know about the Rams’ young DL could hurt them a lot (ramblin fan)

“Jonah Williams and Aaron Donald both combined for 10.0 QB sacks, 102 tackles and 38 quarterback pressures in 2023. While no single player can match Donald’s ferocity, the combination of several rookies could match the overall production of Jonah Williams and Aaron Donald combined.

Kobie Turner and Byron Young combined for 17.0 sacks, 118 tackles, and 50 quarterback pressures in 2023. This defense could find similar production with a combination of Jared Verse and Braden Fiske. While that may seem unlikely, keep in mind that the team selected both rookies from the same college defense to ensure they have already forged a friendship and chemistry on the field.

If the gamble pays off, the team will enjoy nearly 40.0 QB sacks, over 100 QB pressures, and over 240 tackles from just four of the rotation players on the defensive front. That’s not something any NFL analyst or projection has factored in.

Rams News: Sean McVay Could Be Key to LA’s Success This Season (si.com)

“In a recent episode of the This is Football podcast, Kevin Clark believes the Rams’ chances of winning this season rest on one person. He believes head coach Sean McVay is the key to Los Angeles’ success this season.

“The Rams could and can win the Super Bowl,” Clark said. “They have a top-three coach and a good quarterback who was throwing darts last year and the roster is pretty good. Sean McVay led a very young team to a lot of wins last year. I understand the Aaron Donald thing is going to hurt, but I really believe Sean McVay can do miracles.”

Stetson Bennett Talks About His Doubts, Fears He Wasn’t Good Enough For Rams (ram wire)

“Over the past couple of months, Bennett has spoken a bit about his time away from football, most recently on the”NO RESERVE with TJ Callaway” podcast. Towards the end of this week’s episode, Bennett discussed the doubts he had about himself, wondering if he could succeed in the NFL.

“Going to Georgia, it wasn’t so much about making the team,” he said. “It was more like, ‘Okay, I want to see if I can be the quarterback. I want to see if I’m good enough to do that.’ It’s kind of the same thing now with the Rams. I just want to see if somebody can beat me.”

Bennett told Callaway that last year he was worried he wasn’t what the Rams needed, questioning his own abilities despite being a fourth-round draft pick.
