NEW CASTLE, Pa. – The 2024 New Castle Fireworks Festival will take place Saturday,

The festival will feature food and beverage options, food trucks, live music and a spectacular fireworks display by Pyrotecnico.

Attendees are encouraged to park in the city’s Mercer Street parking lot or in one of the city’s free parking lots. The fireworks will take place at 10 p.m. from a location near the southwest bend of the Columbus Interbelt, behind the Cascade Galleria.

The focal point for most of the evening will be the main stage at the corner of South Mercer S and East Washington Streets.

The area along South Mercer from Eastern Washington to Neshannock Creek Brewery will serve as a designated alcohol-only area. The area will feature four New Castle businesses as well as a playground and tables for gatherings. Guests can also bring lawn chairs for the fireworks.

Live music will be provided from 5pm to 10pm by Grandview Soul (Motown) and Kut Loose (90s and 2000s rock).

In 1922, Constantino Vitale immigrated from Italy to New Castle and began creating fireworks. New Castle is now known as the Fireworks Capital of the United States.
