Get Ready for Slime; Kids’ Choice Awards Take Over Pauley Pavilion

Hollywood’s slimiest awards show will return Saturday night as the 2024 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards are presented at UCLA’s Pauley Pavilion, with the ceremony dedicated to the 25th anniversary of SpongeBob SquarePants, who will host the show alongside his Bikini Bottom pal, Patrick Star.

Nickelodeon officials say it’s the first time an awards show will be hosted by animated characters — voiced by Tom Kenny and Bill Fagerbakke. The stage will be designed to immerse viewers into the world of Bikini Bottom.

But there will definitely be slime. In fact, for the first time, the show is expected to include rainbow-colored slime, in addition to the traditional green.
