Sioux Falls YMCA CEO Announces Resignation to Focus on Camp Recovery Leif Ericson

SIOUX FALLS, SD (Dakota News Now) – Following recent flooding and damage to Camp Leif Ericson, the Sioux Falls YMCA announced that CEO Mike Murphy has informed the board of directors of his resignation.

Murphy will continue his role as Camp Director of Leif Ericson and focus his efforts on rebuilding and restoring the camp.

Anshu Chandra, Chairman of the Sioux Falls YMCA Board of Directors, said, “The Sioux Falls YMCA is a great organization that has served individuals and families in the Sioux Falls area for over 100 years. We are currently providing effective programming and have a strong strategic plan in place to ensure that the search for our next CEO will be a great success for the YMCA and the community as a whole.”

Chief Development Officer Kadyn Wittman will serve as interim CEO while the organization conducts a national search for a new CEO.
