The mighty clique of courageous superheroes is the pride of Marvel and the apple of the eye of millions of fans around the world. Such is the charm of these heroic and witty saviors who call themselves the Avengers.

And who wouldn’t love to see a sardonic Iron Man (RIP Tony Stark), an overly serious Captain America, a fiery Black Widow, and a furious giant called the Hulk fighting evil? Scarlett Johansson’s biggest fan is him.

Avengers scare Scarlett Johansson’s daughter

The problem isn’t having Black Widow as a mother. It’s the gang of villains (ironic, yes, but let’s assume they’re the good kind) who inevitably follow Natasha Romanoff, who scares Scarlett Johansson’s 9-year-old daughter, Rose.

Speaking to PEOPLE magazine for this week’s issue, the MCU actress revealed that her daughter — who Johansson, 39, shares with ex-husband Romain Dauriac — also finds the beloved Avengers “violent” to be able to enjoy his mother’s superhero adventures.

She loves that I play Black Widow, but she’s too scared to watch an Avengers movie. She’s just like, “That’s violent.” I’m like, “Oh my God.”

While the Avengers remain a household name cherished by perhaps the entire fandom, it’s not so far-fetched that a child couldn’t handle all the bloody mayhem that inexorably ensues following the arrival of the knight in shining armor to save the day.

On the bright side, though, Johansson’s kid is pretty excited to see his Oscar-nominated mom in her latest film with Channing Tatum, Fly me to the moon. “I think she’s most excited about hair and makeup,” THE Lucy said the star. “It’s so funny… She’s feminine.”

Superhero by day and super mom 24/7

THE Black Widow The star may be a ruthless crime-fighting superhero on screen, but luckily she’s just a loving and caring mother at home.

In a 2021 interview with PEOPLE, Johansson, after receiving the American Cinematheque Award, told the magazine how grateful she was to be “just mom” She paid tribute to her family, despite winning a lifetime achievement award at the ceremony. But there is one exception to this rule.

Luckily for everyone at home, I’m just a mom. (But) sometimes (I’m) the Black Widow when it suits my daughter, when she’s going to get something out of it.

Besides Rose, Johansson also shares a 2-year-old son, Cosmo, with her husband, Colin Jost, who is a renowned comedian and longtime co-anchor of Weekend Update.

Johansson’s space romantic comedy Fly me to the moon is currently playing in theaters. In the meantime, you can watch The Avengers on Disney+.
