Alec Baldwin Shares Heartfelt Message, Parties at Hotel Bar After Manslaughter Case Dismissed

Alec Baldwin got some good news in court yesterday, as Judge Mary Marlowe Sommer granted the defense’s motion to dismiss his case. The actor was on trial for involuntary manslaughter, following a tragic accidental shooting on the set of Rust In 2021, Baldwin was reportedly rehearsing a scene when the gun he was holding discharged, killing cinematographer Halyna Hutchins and wounding Joel Souza.

Baldwin’s case was also dismissed, meaning he can’t be tried again on the same charges. He was emotional after the unexpected news, breaking down as the judge explained her decision. Today, he took to Instagram to break his silence on the verdict with a heartfelt message to those who supported him throughout the process.

“There are too many people who have supported me for me to thank them now,” he captioned a photo of himself in the courtroom earlier in the day. “Y’all will never know how much I appreciate your kindness to my family.” His comments section is currently flooded with messages of support from his followers, congratulating him on concluding a long legal battle. To celebrate, Baldwin hosted a small get-together at a hotel bar. He was joined by his lawyers Alex Spiro and Luke Nikas, his wife Hilaria and others.

According to TMZThe team behind his upcoming documentary about the accidental shooting was also in attendance. They were spotted holding a camera, though it’s unclear whether they were filming for the documentary or his separate reality show on TLC. The Baldwinswhich is also in the works.
