Kate Middleton caught revealing own confession at Wimbledon, lip reader says

Although men’s finalists Carlos Alcaraz and Nokak Djokovic were the expected centres of attention on Centre Court at Wimbledon yesterday, the Princess of Wales undoubtedly stole the show, making her second public appearance this year at the tennis championships.

And while many viewers watching from home couldn’t help but notice how happy and healthy Kate Middleton looked amid her cancer treatment, others spotted the mother-of-three making a rather unexpected confession from the royal box.

The 42-year-old was joined by her daughter Princess Charlotte and sister Pippa Middleton for the royal outing at London’s prestigious tennis courts on Sunday (July 14), while her husband Prince William and eldest son Prince George represented the monarchy at England’s Euro 2024 final match in Germany.

At one point during the high-intensity tennis match, the camera panned to the mother and daughter, to see the Princess of Wales whispering something in Charlotte’s ear.

According to lip-reader Nicola Hickling, the princess told her nine-year-old son: “It’s all about the end, Djokovic is my favourite to win.”

Many thought it was an interesting guess – given that Alcaraz, 21, has risen brilliantly through the ranks since bursting onto the scene in 2018 – and later Kate’s prediction was proven wrong.

At the end of a thrilling match, Alcaraz delivered an absolute slap to tennis legend Djokovic, winning his second consecutive Wimbledon crown.

Then the princess came down from the stands to offer the winner a handshake and his trophy.

Introducing her daughter to the Spanish champion, she told Alcaraz: “It’s Charlotte, she was encouraging you. You’ve crossed everything.”

Alcaraz then replied: “Nice to meet you.”

“We’ve been watching a lot of stuff on TV, so it’s great to finally be able to meet you,” Kate continued.

Earlier in the day, the trio of brunettes made their way through the stands to take their seats in the exclusive, upscale box – which Queen Camilla was spotted sitting in earlier last week – with the Princess of Wales receiving a warm standing ovation.

It’s only been four months since Kate revealed the news that she had been diagnosed with cancer and was undergoing treatment for it, making a heartbreaking announcement to the public last March.

Wearing a plush purple dress by designer Safiyaa, Sunday’s sporting event thankfully saw some colour return to the princess’s face as she enjoyed the tennis match with her closest family members.
