Mrs Hinch returns to social media after eight-week break as she shares poignant message about grieving the death of her father

Mrs Hinch has returned to social media after an eight-week break to share a poignant message about grief as she remembered her late father Alan.

The 34-year-old cleaning influencer has used her social media platform to empathize with those grieving and speak candidly about her healing process.

The author, whose real name is Sophie Hinchliffe, shared that her beloved father passed away “peacefully in his sleep” in April.

The internet star has now taken to her Instagram page with a touching message as she reflected on the “deep, unimaginable pain that I cannot express in words”.

The first black and white photo shows Sophie with her two sons Ronnie, four, and Lennie, two, as they were seen playing outside.

Sophie – who shares her two children with husband Jamie Hinchliffe – added caption to the photo saying: “Grief is a pain I can’t find words to fully explain.

“If it’s something you’ve never experienced before, all I can say is it takes your legs away.”

The carousel continued with a series of written slides, saying: “I’d be lying if I said I was okay… I actually feel broken. I’m feeling an extreme mix of emotions and not much makes sense to me right now.

“It’s like I’ve entered this new part of my world, where only grief sits, and it feels heavy; something I can’t describe unless you’ve been there.

“Right now, I’m really trying to navigate this new life without one of the people I love the most, one of my biggest supporters. I feel like my dad taught me everything I needed to know, except how to live without him.”

“I wanted to come here and say a big thank you for all the overwhelming love and support. I may not be able to respond right away, but I see you and I am so grateful.

“Thank you for being patient with me as I try to find my feet again alongside my family, who I am incredibly proud of and love with all my heart.”

She finished signing: “Best wishes, I love you Soph xxx ILYD.”

Along with the heartbreaking statement, she added a touching caption that read: “Loss changes everything about you and the way you see the world. You live in deep pain, unable to communicate and wondering why the sun keeps rising like nothing ever happened.

“But I just wanted to say thank you. I may not be able to answer you right away, but I see you and I am very grateful.

“I really hope to find my feet again one day, my family means everything to me. Soph.”

Her previous Instagram post was a very touching tribute to her late father after his passing, as she remembered him fondly with a series of sweet throwback photos.

Some pictured the couple kissing at Sophie’s wedding, before the doting dad gave a father-of-the-bride speech on his daughter’s special day.

She accompanied the sweet carousel with a touching message: “April 25, 2024. My precious daddy passed away suddenly but so peacefully in his sleep.

“My life, our whole world, has been turned upside down. It is a deep, unimaginable pain that I cannot express in words.

“My beloved dad, beloved grandfather of our boys, Your workshop is closed and I sleep with the key. I promise to continue to make your workshop dream come true.

“Until we meet and sing together again. Goodnight daddy. My absolute king. Your Bubberloo.”

Sophie finished adding a quote: “I’ve learned that grief is really just love. It’s all the love you want to give but can’t. All that unspent love pools in the corners of your eyes, in the lump in your throat, and in that hollow part of your chest. Grief is just love with nowhere to go.”

Sophie did not reveal the cause of her father’s death in her heartfelt statement, but a few weeks before his death, she informed her fans that her father had been in hospital for three weeks.

She said at the time: “My father is in hospital right now. My father has never been blessed with, let’s say, fantastic health, whether it’s his chest, his lungs or his heart. He’s always struggled.”
