Former Blues goalkeeper Vaclav Hladky has reportedly been offered a two-year contract by Championship side Burnley but is being tipped to join Jablonec in the Czech Republic.

Hladky, 33, left town earlier this month after failing to agree terms on a new deal.

According to iSport.czThe Clarets have handed Hladky a two-year deal on better terms than those offered at Portman Road.

However, they report that he is likely to end up at Czech Premier League side Jablonec instead, although the contract there would be worth less than the terms at Turf Moor.

Burnley are in need of a new goalkeeper, with Arijanet Muric set to join the Blues in a deal worth £8million plus £2million in add-ons.

Hladky reportedly turned down the opportunity to join Banik Ostrava, while Slavia Prague was also reportedly discussed.

Elsewhere, Town are among a number of clubs linked with a potential season-long loan move for Venezia midfielder Tanner Tessmann if the United States international joins Inter Milan, as is widely expected.

The 22-year-old is also said to have loan interest from Feyenoord.

Meanwhile, former Town striker Joe Pigott, 30, has returned to AFC Wimbledon, his club before his spell at the Blues, on a season-long loan from Leyton Orient.

It all seems a bit strange… We’re talking about paying £8m for a goalkeeper that Burnley wanted to replace with Vlad. Paying him more than we were prepared to do. Surely it would be better for our business to pay him a bit more and keep the £8m in our pocket…
