Avelo Airlines leads with best punctuality and lowest cancellation rate

Avelo Airlines is making a strong entry into the second half of 2024 as the most reliable airline in the United States. In June, the airline achieved the number one spot in on-time performance and posted the lowest flight cancellation rate in the industry. Additionally, Avelo maintained its leadership in both metrics during the first half of 2024. These achievements are reported by Anuvu, a leading aviation data services company also used by The Wall Street Journal for its annual airline rankings. Avelo achieved the best on-time performance with 84.3% of its flights arriving within 15 minutes of their scheduled time, exceeding the Department of Transportation’s A14 standard for U.S. airlines. This performance far exceeded the industry average of 73.6% and the 78.62% of the next best carrier in June.

In June, Avelo also led the industry with a low cancellation rate of 0.12%, much better than the industry average of 1.26%. Out of 1,653 scheduled flights, Avelo cancelled only two.

For 2024, Avelo’s A14 stands at 84.1%, the highest in the sector, and its cancellation rate of 0.24% is the lowest until June 2024.
