Khaleke Hudson eager to continue learning in new linebacker room

Hudson mentioned having the opportunity to be in the room alongside linebackers Demario Davis, Pete Werner and Willie Gay in particular and that there’s “never enough” to learn.

“I’m always open to taking in other people’s ideas, things that can help me in my game, so I never have enough work. I always have room to learn and improve. Like I said, I’m looking forward to learning from them and being in the same room with them.”

Hudson attended Michigan where he played four years primarily at the “Viper” position, a hybrid linebacker and safety role where he appeared in 52 games and accumulated 225 tackles (114 solo), 11 stops for loss, 10 sacks, two interceptions, 14 passes defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery, earning All-Big 10 honors twice.

The former Wolverine will have to share a locker room with four players from rival Ohio State Buckeyes in Werner, wide receiver Chris Olave, cornerback Marshon Lattimore and defensive end Chase Young, but Hudson said he’s comfortable given the Wolverines’ recent success over the Buckeyes as well as having former Wolverines teammate guard/center Cesar Ruiz backing him up.

“The last two times we played them, we were on the winning side,” he said. “So I’m standing tall. I have bragging rights now, so I’m coming out there with my chest out.”

Hudson has six siblings and a daughter and says he is very family-oriented.

“That’s what drives my life,” Hudson said. “That’s what’s important to me, my family.”

In his spare time, Hudson says he plays video games and has an extensive football card collection that includes player cards from multiple teams and players from the ’90s.

“I’m really passionate about this,” Hudson said. “I’ve been collecting this stuff for a long time, so it’s definitely one of my favorite hobbies that I’ve had for most of my life.”
