Best College Football Bets: Odds and Predictions to Consider at DraftKings Sportsbook for the Liberty Flames

The bar is set pretty high for Liberty in 2024, after a 13-0 team in 2023 that will feature 14 starters. While the Flames dominated the field with a relatively easy schedule, they faced reality in their bowl game against Oregon, losing 45-6.

Given the new playoff format, some are speculating that Liberty could sneak into the field if they go undefeated again. However, whether that’s fair or not, I could see that final score against the Ducks sticking in a lot of people’s minds when it comes time to pick bids.

Another popular bet on Liberty this season is an over-10.5 win bet. The Flames play the easiest schedule in the country — likely a short underdog at Appalachian State, then a heavy favorite in the other 11 games. While 11 or 12 wins seems likely, Liberty could easily lose that game at App State, and I don’t want them to have to go the rest of the way perfect to win.

That’s why I’m simply looking to back the Flames to win the C-USA title game. Liberty is as close to a sure bet to play in its conference championship as any team in the country. If we’re going to use odds on DraftKings Bookmaker as a tool for our handicap, you will see Liberty is -500 to reach the C-USA title game — the next big favorite is Ohio State to reach its title game at -240It would take a catastrophe for the Flames not to be in this game, and they would be much bigger than a -175 favorite in December.

With QB Kaidon Salter back in the mix, and flanked by a few dangerous weapons on offense, Liberty should be in position to dominate C-USA play. The gap between the Flames and the rest of the competition is considerably wider than any other conference in college football. So much so that I’ll be betting -175 on the conference heading into the season. We should only see that number increase for months.
