Krispy Kreme Introduces New Passport to Paris Donuts

If you can’t make it to Paris for the 2024 Olympics, Krispy Kreme’s new treats will take you there.

On July 15, the bakery chain launched three French dessert-inspired beignets in honor of the Summer Games. The Passport to Paris collection features a range of treats that pay homage to Parisian pastry classics: the Crème Brûlée beignet, the Éclair Double Chocolat beignet and the Crème Framboise et Vanille beignet.

The crème brûlée doughnut mimics the sweet crunch of the custard dessert. An unglazed doughnut is filled with crème brûlée-flavored cream before being dipped in a caramel glaze and crunchy caramelized sugar toppings.

Each Passport to Paris donut is inspired by a classic French dessert

Chocolate lovers can satisfy their cravings with the Double Chocolate Éclair donut. This unglazed donut filled with chocolate pastry cream is covered in chocolate icing and topped with chocolate pearls.

The Raspberry Vanilla Cream Donut is the only glazed donut in the set. This pink-colored treat is topped with raspberry frosting, cookie pieces, and a dollop of vanilla cream.

“Most people can’t travel to Paris to cheer on their country’s team, so we’re giving you a ‘passport to Paris’ in the form of delicious doughnuts featuring Parisian dessert flavors,” Dave Skena, Krispy Kreme global brand director, said in a statement.

Krispy Kreme has been full of deals all month long. Throughout July, the doughnut chain is giving away free doughnut specials every Tuesday and free iced coffee every Friday.

On Tuesdays, July 16, 23 and 30, rewards members can grab a donut from limited-time selections like the Kit Kat Collection or Star Spangled Sweetness Collection. The free iced coffee Friday offer is valid on any size coffee on July 19 and 26.
