Reginald was put into play. Syfy canceled the Reginald the Vampire series, so there will be no third season of the supernatural comedy.

Launched in 2022, the Reginald the Vampire The television series stars Jacob Batalon, Savannah Basley, Em Haine, Mandela Van Peebles, Jeremiah Chechik, and Harley Peyton. Garfield Wilson recurs regularly. In the story, young Reginald Andres (Batalon) lives a life of dreams deferred. One night, he meets a stranger named Maurice Miller (Van Peebles), who decides to help Reginald achieve what he wants. However, Reginald is killed by Maurice’s enemies, and the only way to “save” him is to turn Reginald into a vampire. Reginald must therefore learn to survive his new impossible lifestyle, which means keeping his nature a secret from everyone he knows. Along the way, Reginald deals with more than just survival and discovers untapped abilities within himself. Reginald becomes a better man as a vampire, but some powerful vampires want to eliminate him. It turns out that life as an undead is just as complicated as life itself.

Airing on Wednesday evenings, the second season of Reginald the Vampire averaged a 0.02 rating in the 18-49 demographic and 125,000 viewers. Compared to Season 1, that’s a 54% drop in demographics and a 33% drop in viewership in live + same-day ratings (including DVR playback until 3:00 a.m.).

The second season ended its run on July 10. The cancellation is not a surprise, especially given the declining ratings.

As with other Syfy series, Foreign resident moves to USA Network. The fate of Chucky The simulcast on Syfy and USA remains uncertain. Episodes of the series typically draw much better numbers on USA.

Season three of Surrealism is still in production and is a co-production with CTV Sci-Fi Channel in Canada. It will be joined on Syfy in 2025 by The comebacka new horror series announced by the channel in May.

What do you think? Have you watched? Reginald the Vampire on Syfy? Are you disappointed that it was canceled and not coming back for a third season?
