The first all-electric Genesis is getting an upgrade. Ahead of its official debut, the updated Genesis GV60 has been spotted testing in the US, sporting new headlights and a redesigned front bumper (finally!). Check it out for yourself in the new video below.

Three years after launching its first electric vehicle, Genesis is already upgrading the GV60 with more style to fend off its new luxury rivals.

Although electric vehicle sales increased 36% in the U.S. in the second quarter, Genesis delivered nearly 7% fewer GV60 models than last year. According to the latest data Kelley’s Blue Book According to the data, Genesis GV60 sales are down 7% in the United States through the first half of 2024.

Meanwhile, luxury competitors like Lexus, Lucid and Rivian continued to gain market share. Genesis breathed new life into its first electric vehicle to revive sales.

We saw the new Genesis model testing last month, but this is the first time we’ve seen it on American streets.

The video of KindelAuto reveals a closer look at the updated model as it drives by. Despite the camouflage, you can see the new headlights and what appears to be a redesigned front bumper.

You can also see the huge air ducts added to either side of the bumper. One of the biggest complaints about the current GV60 is the bumper. Some say it lacks design. It looks like Genesis is listening.

The updated GV60 is also shown with new wheels, the same ones used for the electrified GV70. The rear remains largely covered, so it’s hard to see any noticeable changes.

Genesis is expected to launch the upgraded model next year. It will likely debut in the U.S. in mid-2025 as a 2026 model.
