Lamine Yamal makes accidental social media mistake moments after helping Spain win Euro 2024 against England

Lamine Yamal proved he was human after all by making a rookie mistake while celebrating Spain’s Euro 2024 triumph.

The teenage sensation shone throughout the tournament as La Roja claimed glory with a 2-1 win over England, but he then lost his temper slightly when speaking on social media after the match.

After the win, Yamal went live on Instagram to show fans the scenes of jubilation inside the Spain dressing room, and accidentally showed one of his teammates naked in the process.

In the video, in which the 17-year-old is seen singing and dancing with other members of the team, a player with his butt exposed can be seen in the background.

Meanwhile, captain Alvaro Morata is filmed shirtless, with the broadcast having been seen by more than 500,000 of the starlet’s 13 million Instagram followers.

The youngster could easily be forgiven for getting a little carried away by the moment, given the rapid rise to stardom he has enjoyed during the competition.

Yamal was named Euro 2024 Young Player of the Tournament after being one of Spain’s standout performers, scoring once and providing four assists as he dazzled on the right wing.

He also broke several records throughout the competition, becoming the youngest player to both appear and score at a European Championship, the latter historic milestone coming in his team’s semi-final victory over France.

Another crucial involvement from Yamal came in the decider against England, when he set up Nico Williams to score the opening goal of the game early in the second half.

Although Cole Palmer equalised for the Three Lions in the 74th minute, Mikel Oyarzabal then scored the winner in the 86th minute to secure Spain their fourth European Championship title.

And the name of the young FC Barcelona prodigy was on everyone’s lips after the match, as he capped an incredible campaign by becoming the youngest player to win the tournament.

Yamal is unlikely to receive anything more than a slap on the wrist for his social media incident as Spain now look forward to further days of celebration to mark their first major trophy since Euro 2012.
