Kmart fans shocked after bizarre discovery in popular $10 item: ‘This is impossible’

Shoppers often question whether an item is worth its price, with the $129 cordless cleaner recently being described as “absolutely rubbish” by one shopper and “excellent quality” by another.

This week, shoppers were surprised to learn that a popular $10 item at Kmart isn’t as amazing as it seems. One person shared a photo in a Facebook group of the store’s rectangular cone-shaped knitted basket with the interior material ripped out to show that the box is actually made of cardboard.

“Well I learned something new today. I love cardboard boxes,” they captioned the post.

“Oh my god, that’s not true!” wrote another, while a third said: “This explains why they suck.”

“I thought this was at least it!” someone else shared alongside a photo of corrugated plastic.

“I mean, at least they’re cute!” another user remarked, followed by another who added, “I don’t even mind. It’s great for storing diapers.”

Meanwhile, others have pointed out that Kmart’s product page specifies that the rectangular cone knitted basket is made of cardboard.

Under the product details it says that the frame covering is polyester and acrylic, the bottom fabric and lining are polyester, the handle is polyurethane and polyvinyl chloride, and the box itself is double corrugated cardboard.

The description also warns buyers to protect the item from damp or wet environments.
