AKIPRESS.COM – Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade of Uzbekistan Laziz Kudratov met with Acting Special Coordinator of the U.S. Global Infrastructure and Investment Partnership Helaina Matza, UzA reports.

The parties discussed issues related to attracting private financing for projects of transport infrastructure development, geology and digitalization.

The initiative was launched by the United States at the G7 summit in June 2022, the ministry said. The United States will provide up to $200 billion in grants, federal funding and private sector investment over five years, and the G7 countries will provide up to $600 billion. The World Bank and private investment firms are involved in implementing the initiative.

The parties also exchanged views on a wide range of relevant issues of bilateral cooperation.

They confirmed their strong commitment to further deepen and broaden cooperation in all areas discussed at the end of the meeting.
