Keyanthony Stewart Fails to Stop at Stop Sign, Gets Arrested with 171 Grams of Marijuana – Scoop: Nashville

On July 13, Keyanthony Stewart, 19, failed to obey a stop sign at the intersection of 11th Avenue South and Edgehill Avenue. Officers observed this and conducted a traffic stop on Korean Veterans Boulevard near 6th Avenue South. Officers approached the passenger side and noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Officers asked him to exit his red 2007 Mercedes-Benz C230 and immediately arrested him upon exiting. Officers then searched Stewart and his vehicle, during which they discovered a total of 171 grams of marijuana in a gray backpack, a digital scale, several plastic bags and a total of $257. Officers later discovered that he did not have a valid driver’s license. Stewart was taken into custody for failure to have a valid driver’s license, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and possession with intent on July 14.

Keyanthony E. Stewart, of Lenore Street in Nashville, Tennessee, was booked into the Metro Nashville Jail on July 14 on charges of unlawful use of drug paraphernalia, no driver’s license and possession with intent. He is free on $3,200 bail.
